Privacy Policy

Monetilla is a free coordination tool that helps groups of people organize rotating savings circles (also known as committees, susus, tandas, or chits). We do not hold, transfer, or insure any money. All financial transactions happen directly between you and your circle members outside of Monetilla.

When you use Monetilla, we may collect and store:

• Account details: your name, email address, and optional phone number.
• Circle participation: the circles you organize or join, member rosters, contribution records, and draw results.
• Communications: support requests you submit to us, and invitation activity you generate.
• Usage data: basic activity logs used to keep circles transparent (such as draw history and audit logs).

• To create and manage your account and the circles you participate in.
• To send contribution reminders, invitations, and circle updates by email.
• To display transparent, shared records (such as member rosters and draw history) to the other members of your circles.
• To respond to support requests and improve the platform.

When you join or organize a circle, certain information — including your name, email, and contribution status — becomes visible to the other members of that circle so the group can coordinate transparently. Do not join a circle with people you do not personally know and trust.

• We do not hold, move, or insure any money.
• We are not a bank, financial institution, or payment processor.
• We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

We take reasonable measures to protect your information using access controls and secure storage. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You participate in circles at your own discretion and risk.

We retain your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to maintain your circles' shared records. This includes member rosters, contribution history, draw results, and audit logs, which are kept for the lifetime of each circle because transparent shared history is a core feature of Monetilla.

You control deletion: you may delete your account at any time from Settings, which sets your display name to "Deleted User", clears your phone number, username, and avatar, and removes you from all circle member rosters. Circle organizers may delete a circle, which removes its associated shared records.

We do not currently apply automatic time-based deletion to contribution, draw, or invite records. Support messages you submit are retained until an administrator marks them as resolved. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.

• You may update your profile details at any time from Settings.
• You may decline invitations to join any circle.
• You may contact support to request deletion of your data.

Monetilla is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a minor has provided us with information, please contact support so we can remove it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Monetilla after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
